Superpower

In this day an age where a country can attack another country without leaving the comfort of their homes and access to another countries information can be gained by the internet. Do you think the military has as big an effect on a countries ability to be a global superpower. According to my opinion, I think that the military has a big effect on a country ability to be a global superpower. Nowadays, many countries have their own nuclear power, for example countries like North- Korea, America, China, and Russia. I think that the world has changed. Before countries only used man power to conquer each other, until the era which the gunpowder get involved. Now, man power can’t determine the country to become superpower. These days, the economy and military are the factors to determine which country is superpower. According to mapsofworld, it shows the top ten countries have the largest nuclear weapon. They are Russia, USA, France, China, UK, Pakistan, Israel, North Korea, and Iran. Also, according to my research I found out that, these countries have the largest nuclear weapon; they also a stable and good economy. As the information state above that people now have access to find other countries information on the internet. I really doubt about that ability to find information about other countries because, on the internet we can only find out some general information about countries. I believe that all the countries a high develop technology to protect their country’s data. Still having, a good military power it can lead a country to become superpower.

Super power

China super power. Among the countries in Asia region, I think that China is the super power country. By comparing to the current super power country like America, we can see clearly how much China have grown over time. According to dailyfinance, it shows 10 reasons why China is overtaking U.S. The first reason is that Chinese economy has grown so much compare to the past. Not just economy, China also owns a largest labor force in the world. Adding to that, Chinese labor force is so much cheaper than U.S labor force. According to the graph below, it shows how much Chinese GDP grew from 1980 – 2010, and many economists believe that by 2021 China will surpass U.S. Not just wining U.S in economy, China also invests in renewable energy. In 2010 China spent amount of $154 billion in green initiatives and plans to pour the equivalent of $473 billion into green energies between 2011 and 2015. With this showoff strategy, it means that China is on the way to take over U.S With these two simple examples, economy and investing in renewable energy, it shows that China is not a close country that we used to know. From my point of view, a super power country is the country that has a strong economy, friendly with many countries, and finally military force.

Planning sheet for Individual Research Name: Hung Individual Research title:The affected of technology on food insecurity. What question do I want to ask? How has technology affected the food insecurity from the past till today? Where will I find the information to answer my questions? Newspaper, news site, http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-why-behind-the-buy/201204/how-technology-is-changing-what-we-eat http://www.naturalnews.com/037227_meat_glue_food_industry_deceptions.html http://www.naturalnews.com/024520_food_corn_HFCS.html http://www.naturalnews.com/028035_junk_food_marketing_children.html How will I analyse the information? I will look at both negative and positive sides of the problem. By looking at the bad scenario, it would help to identify the possible scenario easier. Possible scenarios `The good things about the affected of technology on food insecurity: Provide a large amount of food production. Decrease the amount of work for labor. Evaluation of scenarios Technology has been improving through time. Food insecurity is happening and technology jumps in. Possible courses of action Right now, food insecurity is not a really big problem, but we should focus on the problem right now. The more the problem expands the more bad issues are coming. India's plan on food insecurity

Main idea: The main idea about this article is that India has done a great job in increasing the food production. By increasing the food production, it will decrease the chance of having food insecurity in India. Bias: The bias of this article is that, the author is taking the Indian citizen's side, because this article is written on “The Times of India”. Also by writing well about the Indian farmer, so it will encourage and gain more trust from the Indian farmers. Also it this article points out the bad things the Indian government is missing, or not doing. So basically, this article is kinda attacking the government. Purpose: The purpose of this article is to encourage the farmer to work harder and gain more trust from the citizen. As an Indian, a person should know that some governors are corrupted, and writing an article like this, the Indian government might gain trust from their citizen. http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-12-26/india/36007226_1_foodgrains-production-food-security-assocham-study

Ideas

Fighting for food insecurity. The main contain of this article is that how the law is making the issue becomes harder to solve. - THis article takes the stand on the poor people. - this article tries to persuade the reader to revolt against the government (im not sure about this, but its my perspective.) What is their argument I dont actually get this article but i think that the corruption is the main reason led to the food insecurity. The idea of this article is that making the reader hope that by revolting, it should make the government to think about what they are doing to their citizens.

Comparison between UK, USA and India, Pakistan

Write and post a comparison on what food insecurity means to countries like USA and the UK against countries like India and Pakistan. Food insecurity means that people won't know when the next meal will come. That is not the not big problem for the countries like USA and the UK because they have their own governments to back up. In the video that I saw in the class, it showed that people in USA and the UK have the shelters and people cook food for the homeless. The main reason why there is food insecurity in USA and the UK is the affect of economic. In India or Pakistan, the meaning of food insecurity means that the people won't know when their next meal is, but the thing is that the Indian government and Pakistan government couldn't support their people. Pakistan is the place that has lots of disaster and low economic; therefore food insecurity will occur faster and last longer.

My perspective on the video

The video made me felt that it is telling a hero story, and the moral of this story is that everyone can help the poor and there are many ways to help them. Krishnan is also just a normal person but he has a big heart that is full of kindness. He quit his job and begins feeding the homeless and mentally-disabled in his hometown since 2002. I think that no one will ever give up their job to help poor people around them, but Krishnan did it. He showed me that there are many ways to help the poor; I don’t have to donate money to help the poor. I can just cook foods and give it to the poor in my hometown. I guess before thinking about helping the poor around the world I just begin it in my hometown. I actually felt very lucky that I have food to eat everyday, therefore I have to be happy with whatever I have right now.

Food security:my perspective on the topic

This is my perspective on the food security. I think that the people have low income or people live in any areas that don’t get support by government. Let’s take Pakistan as an example, the Pakistanis live in an area that has disasters and conflict. Also government could not give more support because their economic is not strong. More and more people are getting affected by this issue, roughly around millions around the world. This is a major problem because it can bring down world population, creates conflicts for resources or even decreases the amount of world food (other resources). A big solution can be solving by doing large scale agriculture. Therefore more foods will be produced, and less people will die by hunger. UN can take part in this issue by making plans that help the countries which are having this issue. The more countries involve solving this problem; food security will not last long.
